UPDATE 12:39 p.m.: I am so sorry to have to do this, but I have been informed by Linden Lab that the YouTube video I had originally linked to from this blogpost was released too soon! Linden Lab wants to coordinate the video release with the actual deployment of the Fashion Release of the Sansar software (still on schedule for sometime next week), and so they’ve asked me to take it down for now.

Once I have the go-ahead, I will repost the video. Thanks! I’m so excited by the sneak peek that we did get at the upcoming fashion market in Sansar!

UPDATE Dec, 18th: The Fashion Release of Sansar launched today! You can now watch the YouTube video that I had to take down from this blogpost!

  1. And it’s gone already, before had a chance to look at it.

I’m not sure how I feel about them wanting to control media and news on sansar this much already, combined with the slow short bursts of fixes and features. I could be misunderstanding the relation with the blog that is linked here but it still does not bode well for me.

I was super excited about Sansar, and was the whole reason I bought a vive and beefed up my computer. Then it was quite a few delays, followed but unfinished tools, only slightly better up-loader than Second Life’s mesh up-loader, with a whole slew of problems still even though we are at this point.

I know that social platforms take a while to get going, however this is really not making me want to do anything more than I already have at this point.

Part of the reason you have blogs, videos, pictures, ect is to generate interest in your platform. It’s really hard for me to get behind a company and this platform where they not only are working very slow considering the size of the team and the resources that have been put into it, but the deliberate censoring of content and features to the end user(s).
