Not too long ago, I blogged about the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign launched by Cyan (the makers of Myst, Riven, and Obduction) so that they could build their latest game, called Firmament. (You can read that blogpost here.)
Well, there are still about 30 hours left in the month-long campaign, and Cyan is tantalizingly close to reaching its all-or-nothing goal of US$1,285,000. If they do not reach their goal, no money is raised and I assume the project will be cancelled. So today, I decided to pledge at the US$30 level to get a copy of the game when it is released in 2020.
If you are sitting on the fence, why don’t you open your wallet and help them out, too? Cyan deserves the community’s support for being the company that invented the open-world exploration puzzle game with Myst.
UPDATE 4:13 p.m.: Cyan has reached their fundraising goal! I’m really looking forward to playing Firmament when it is released!
