Well, I’ve been busy this afternoon making women’s T-shirts! I finally settled on a more comfortable, roomier-fitting T-shirt design, and here are three new shirts for sale for only S$5 each on the Sansar Store!
There’s a light blue floral pattern:
And the same floral pattern in pink-and-red:
And finally, my favourite, a watercolour pattern!
Today, I spent a couple of hours working on a T-shirt for female avatars, this time with proper sleeves and a proper collar. I fiddled a lot with it, adjusting it here and there, and I think it turned out pretty well! My first try was a little too tight, so I made it 105% larger and that seemed to do the trick.
There’s only one small problem that I can find with it. When I wore my VR headset and looked at myself in third-person mode, then raised my avatar’s arms, I noticed that her skin poked through the cloth at the armpits and a little bit at the top of the shoulders. I need to figure out how to fix that problem, but in the meantime, I’m going to make a plain white (untextured) version of this women’s T-shirt available for FREE in the Sansar Store (here’s the link). You will need to press the Simulate Cloth button, and tug at the bustline and around the hemline of this T-shirt, to get it to fit your avatar properly!
Please accept this T-shirt as my Happy New Year present to you. I’ll keep tweaking it until I get a design that I’m 100% satisfied with and I’m willing to sell for actual Sansar dollars! I find creating clothing using Marvelous Designer for Sansar to be incredibly satisfying!

UPDATE 4:07 p.m.: I went over to the casual meetup today at Debi Baskerville’s White Out experience, and who should I run into but Radioactive Rosca, who was wearing my new T-shirt! Yay!!
Today I learned how to do M:N Segment Sewing in Marvelous Designer. (M:N Segment Sewing means that you can sew M (1 or more) edges to N (1 or more) edges in your pattern, and MD takes care of all the calculations for you.) I used this very useful tool to add hanging panels all around the hem of this crazy purple patchwork dress I created! I don’t think I’m going to sell too many of these, but I will put it up for free in the Sansar Store.
Here is Vanity Fair wearing the dress at Zen Garden:
This night-time winter experience was created by Boden Linden, who says:
This winter cabin is ready for the holidays!. ps this entire experience was created with items from the Sansar Store. Thank you creators 😀
It’s so dark that I had to edit all these pictures in GIMP to get the detail to show up! You’ll have to visit the experience in person to get a true feel for the darkness of a wintry countryside at night. The audio materials for the snow add to the immersion of the experience considerably.
You walk from a forested pine area past trees decorated with Christmas lights, and a couple of vehicles—a farm truck and a carriage—that you recognize from the Sansar Customs experience. Snowflakes are gently falling.
A little further on, you discover a top-hatted snowman under a canopy of Christmas lights flashing many different colours!
Finally, you arrive at a cheerfully decorated house, with a brightly-lit Christmas tree and pine bough garlands, plus stockings hung on the fireplace mantel. There’s a fire roaring in a small pot-bellied stove in the corner, next to a table laden with coffee cups, a bottle of wine, and a basket of food. Nostalgic Christmas music is playing, and it would seem the inhabitants of this cozy home have only just momentarily stepped out.
You could consider this experience a Christmas card from Boden Linden to the rest of us. So please pay a visit soon to Happy Holidays yourself!
(The red dress that Vanity Fair is wearing is brand new from RSVF, and available for S$5 in the Sansar Store.)
I am slowly working my way through the CGElves beginners-level tutorials on Marvelous Designer, and I am getting better, little by little, at making clothing using MD! Today I made a simple woman’s dress, and textured it using a blue fabric with white polka dots:
I have decided to take down my first posted item, a very crudely made skirt which I can now improve on, so now I have a total of five items of clothing up for sale under my fashion label RSVF in the Sansar Store! I’m so excited!
Please accept this free Christmas gift of a woman’s light blue T-shirt with a subtle snowflake pattern. It will be available for free only until the end of Dec. 26th, after which I will price it at S$5.
Merry Christmas to you all!
