Second Life Steals, Deals, and Freebies: Kaithleen’s

Kaithleen’s is a store with a wonderful selection of women’s clothing—everything from formal ballgowns to sexy lingerie! If you join the Kaithleen’s group for just L$5, you can pick up nine free gifts from the group gift wall:

Here Vanity Fair is wearing two of the group gits: a metal-trimmed minidress that comes in black or pink (with a HUD to change the metal to one of seven different colours), plus the updated version of Kaithleen’s universal thong underneath (which also comes with a HUD with 17 different colours). The thong comes in versions to fit the Maitreya Lara, Belleza (Venus, Isis, and Freya), Slink (Physique and Hourglass), eBody Curvy, and the new TMP Legacy mesh avatar bodies.

But there’s also a hunt going on until Sept. 30th! Search for rotating golden coins hidden throughout the Kaithleen’s mainstore and you can snap up some well-designed outfits for only L$10 each:

Let’s look at three of the hunt items. The Snow ballgown in midnight blue has some lovely attention to detail, with lacing up the back and metal eyelets, both of which you can recolour using the included HUD:

Next up is the curve-hugging black Ava Chance catsuit (there’s a HUD to change the colour of the stripes and the straps):

Finally, we have the beautiful Cream Cake ballgown in white, absolutely perfect for your Second Life wedding or another formal occasion!

In these pictures, Vanity Fair is also wearing:

Second Life Steals, Deals, and Freebies: NO CABIDE and Suna Design

In just two stops, you can pick up no less than 22 free outfits! Now that’s what I call really efficient freebie shopping 😉

The first stop is the NO CABIDE affiliate store on the Boulevard Illuminati. Just click on the box on the front counter to receive 12 free outfits! There’s no need to join any group.

The second stop is the Suna Design store, where you can pick up one gift at the front entrance, and another nine gift boxes behind the staircase (you will have to join the Suna Design group for free in order to get these free group gifts):

So, let’s take a look at some of the items in our haul. First up is the beautiful white-and-gold Ariel full-length ballgown from Suna Design, which features an attractive golden butterfly cut-out design on the back:

(The jewelry used here is the Arthurina gold pearl earrings and necklace, one of last year’s Advent calendar gifts from JUMO.)

Another Suna Design gift is the Nora dress, which includes the pumps:

A third gift from Suna Design is this daring Diana outfit, which includes the open jacket, jeans and boots. (Personally, I would probably wear this with an applier-based top of some kind under the jacket.)

Here is the Happy outfit by NO CABIDE, which includes the shoes. The outfit comes with a HUD to individually change the colour of the top, miniskirt and shoes to red, black, or white:

The graffiti-adorned Izzie Outfit by NO CABIDE includes the funky high-heeled sneakers:

And finally, we have the No CABIDE Jayne dress, which comes with a HUD to select 10 different colours and patterns for the dress, and 10 different colours for the straps:

This avatar is also wearing:

  • Mesh Head, Makeup and Mesh Body: Juliet by Altamura (former Valentine’s Day group gift; Omega compatible with the separate Omega system kit)
  • Omega Skin Applier: Flower by 7 Deadly S[k]ins (a box of Omega skin appliers was the June group gift)
  • Hair: Aria hair by D!va (free group gift; group is free to join)

Happy shopping!

UPDATED! Second Life Steals, Deals, and Freebies: Twisted Fall Hunt

The Twisted semi-annual hunts are renowned for being the hardest hunts in Second Life. While last spring’s Twisted Hunt had a theme of white and gold, the new fall Twisted Hunt has a theme of black and red.

Don’t expect any helpful hints from the Twisted Hunt website; all you’ll get is a list of participating stores. After that, you’re on your own. Many stores deliberately put multiple false hunt cubes throughout the store to make it even more impossible to find the prize you are seeking!

Here is a look at one of the Twisted Hunt prizes: this gorgeous black-and-red ballgown with gold accents by C!L Boutique:

This avatar is wearing:

  • Mesh Head and Eyes: Cleo by Akeruka (a previous dollarbie group gift; the Akeruka group costs L$150 to join; the Cleo head comes with matching Omega body skin appliers; more details here)
  • Mesh Body: Juliet by Altamura (Juliet was a free Valentine’s Day group gift; the Altamura group costs L$50 to join, and you can obtain the Omega system kit for Altamura mesh bodies for only L$99 available at this exact SLURL; more details about the Juliet body here)
  • Hair: Winks by LIQUIDMOON (free gift from a previous Hair Fair)
  • Dress: Morticia ballgown by C!L Boutique (free Twisted Hunt prize)
  • Jewlery: Sacre Coeur earrings and necklace by CODEX (free gift from a previous eBento event)
  • Fan with Animation: Scripted fan for geisha by Tuty’s Animations (free gift from years ago; tinted red to match the Morticia gown)

TOTAL COST FOR THIS AVATAR: L$300

Pictures were taken at the Twisted Hunt headquarters.

UPDATE Sept. 13th: Melyna Foxclaw left the following helpful message using the Contact form on my blog:

Hi! I am writing about the recent Twisted Hunt post. I noticed you mention you were mostly on your own on this hunt. But there is an inworld hunt group too. There are no hints on the website, but if you join the free Twisted Hunt Inworld group, you can ask for hints there. That is the only place you can get the hints. They are not published anywhere because they can change very often during the hunt at various stores in the hunt. And the group can be quite helpful at times when you get stuck. Usually, there will be someone willing to help you out. Or someone who knows the hint. Some stores have an easel that might have the hint and more information about extra side hunts at their stores. Just FYI, since it was left out. Thanks!

Thanks, Melyna!

Second Life Steals, Deals, and Freebies: monaLISA (Part 2)

Today I bring you yet another store that gives you a massive bang for your buck. I have covered this before, back in May 2018, but it’s such a good deal that it bears repeating!

Teleport to monaLISA, join the TeleportHub.com group for L$10 if you haven’t already done so, and touch the black sign to get this lovely Seda outfit, with a feminine white tie blouse and a black vest and matching skirt (please note that all three items are in one piece; they are not separate pieces). Looking good!

But there’s more—much more! Join the monaLISA group for only L$50, and you can then pick up no less than 97 free gifts of clothing and footwear for your female avatar from their Group Gift wall (at this exact SLURL). That works out to about L$0.5 per item, a really great deal!

Here are just four examples of outfits you can pick up. This is the Luz sweater and skirt set, which comes with a colour HUD with ten different colours for the sweater body itself and the sleeves separately, plus three patterns for the skirt (plain black and two wild animal prints):

The shoes in the first three pictures above are the versatile Jai pumps from Rowne, a free group gift. You can join the Rowne group for free. Here’s the exact SLURL to the Group Gift wall in the Rowne store.

And this is the Rose dress in light blue, paired with the wonderful multicolour Dawn heels:

Next we have this sexy, smart black double-breasted-jacket style minidress (model C04/12/17) along with matching black Merisa heels:

Finally, we have the following outfit (model C03/12/17) with black heels (model C09/12/17):

So head on down to monaLISA and pick up some fabulous deals for your wardrobe! Better yet, stay subscribed to the monaLISA group and you can pick up a new group gift every month! (It is usually on a large poster located immediately to the right of the large Group Gifts sign on the wall.)

Happy shopping!
