Second Life Steals, Deals, and Freebies: NO CABIDE and Suna Design

In just two stops, you can pick up no less than 22 free outfits! Now that’s what I call really efficient freebie shopping 😉

The first stop is the NO CABIDE affiliate store on the Boulevard Illuminati. Just click on the box on the front counter to receive 12 free outfits! There’s no need to join any group.

The second stop is the Suna Design store, where you can pick up one gift at the front entrance, and another nine gift boxes behind the staircase (you will have to join the Suna Design group for free in order to get these free group gifts):

So, let’s take a look at some of the items in our haul. First up is the beautiful white-and-gold Ariel full-length ballgown from Suna Design, which features an attractive golden butterfly cut-out design on the back:

(The jewelry used here is the Arthurina gold pearl earrings and necklace, one of last year’s Advent calendar gifts from JUMO.)

Another Suna Design gift is the Nora dress, which includes the pumps:

A third gift from Suna Design is this daring Diana outfit, which includes the open jacket, jeans and boots. (Personally, I would probably wear this with an applier-based top of some kind under the jacket.)

Here is the Happy outfit by NO CABIDE, which includes the shoes. The outfit comes with a HUD to individually change the colour of the top, miniskirt and shoes to red, black, or white:

The graffiti-adorned Izzie Outfit by NO CABIDE includes the funky high-heeled sneakers:

And finally, we have the No CABIDE Jayne dress, which comes with a HUD to select 10 different colours and patterns for the dress, and 10 different colours for the straps:

This avatar is also wearing:

  • Mesh Head, Makeup and Mesh Body: Juliet by Altamura (former Valentine’s Day group gift; Omega compatible with the separate Omega system kit)
  • Omega Skin Applier: Flower by 7 Deadly S[k]ins (a box of Omega skin appliers was the June group gift)
  • Hair: Aria hair by D!va (free group gift; group is free to join)

Happy shopping!

Second Life Steals, Deals, and Freebies: UniHispana Crea

I’ve already written about what I think are the four best freebie stores in Second Life:

  • The Free Dove
  • The excellent freebie store at Ajuda SL Brasil
  • The Free*Style Store
  • The Sexy Shoppers Freebie Market

But I neglected to mention a small but growing collection of freebies at UniHispana Crea, a Spanish-speaking hub for newcomers to SL.

At this SLURL, you can pick up the Altamura Max full-body mesh male avatar and the Altamura Emanuelle full-body mesh female avatar for free:

And, in addition, there is an large assortment of clothing specifically designed for Altamura female mesh bodies nearby, courtesy of Casual Collection by C&N. It can be hard to find free clothes for Altamura, so this set of freebies is especially appreciated!

Here are three of examples of outfits from C&N, which include the shoes, modeled on the Altamura Emanuelle avatar (the hair is a free group gift from D!va Hair):

This is a lovely summer dress by C&N, which I have paired with the Sonnet pumps available for free from Hilly Haalan (more info here):

At this SLURL is a small collection of menswear. Here I am modeling the Axel suit and dress shoes on the Altamura Max avatar:

And here is a more casual outfit cobbled together from the two free casual outfits available, which includes both the sunglasses and the boots:

Right across from the small menswear collection are a number of freebies for women. Here I am modeling items on the Tina Bento Mesh Avatar, which is available for free from the freebie store at Ajuda SL Brasil (for more details, see the very end of this long blogpost about free and inexpensive mesh heads and bodies for female avatars). The hair is the free, tintable Zura style from Hitogata on the counter at this SLURL.

Here is a lovely backless black dress, from the front and the rear:

And here is the Amanda red minidress:

So, although it is a small collection of freebies, it is still worth popping in for a visit and a browse! Happy shopping!

Second Life Steals, Deals, and Freebies: What a Little Moonlight Can Do

I don’t usually do this, but sometimes I feel like pulling together a look in Second Life and just taking a photo. And when you find an awesome freebie like this Franceline ballgown by Brii, you want to show it off!

This picture was taken at the Pino 1951 bar, which is all crushed red velvet, cigarette smoke, and spotlights for the strippers who are trying to make a buck while the rain is pouring outside in the alleyway. It’s a remarkably well-put-together evocation of a certain place and time in history. The music is all smooth jazz vocalists. You almost expect Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack to stroll in and ask for a cocktail.

Here’s a view of this simply stunning gown from the back. It has materials enabled, and it really shimmers!

My avatar is wearing:

Mesh Head: the Altamura Leila head (free advent group gift which is no longer available; the group Altamura was L$50 to join, plus L$99 for the Omega relay; more information here)

Head Skin Applier: Omega fullbody skin applier, another free advent group gift from Altamura; again, this is no longer available; more information here

Mesh Body: the free Jenny mesh body by Altamura (a former Women Only Hunt gift; note that the Jenny Altamura mesh avatar body is also available at the Freebie Megastore at London City, however, you cannot remove the included head on that version as I did here)

Earrings: Perllina earrings by Lazuri (a free gift from a recent Christmas shopping event, no longer available)

Gown: gold Franceline ballgown by Brii (free gift at this SLURL; you must join the SL Frees & Offers group for free to get this group gift). This stunning gown with the golden sheen comes with earrings, bracelets and even a hair decoration! I decided to go with the Perllina earrings instead.

Hair: Aria by D!va (free group gift; group is free to join)

TOTAL COST FOR THIS AVATAR: L$149 (L$50 for the Altamura group join fee, plus L$99 for the Omega system kit for Altamura)
