Outfit Outlay: Sci-Fi Armour

Ecne is a new Sansar creator who has put out some seriously impressive stuff! I bought his two-piece science fiction armour for female avatars, and I just love it! The top part is S$100:

And you pair it with the bottom part, also S$100:

In addition to the greyish white with blue fluorescent markings, this outfit also comes in black with green fluorescent trim (see the items in her store here). Wearing this sci-fi outfit really makes me feel like I want to go out and explore the galaxies!

Here’s a couple of pictures of Vanity Fair wearing her new sci-fi outfit at the Astro Port experience, by Mold3D. The back shot really shows the fluorescence! Very cool!

Pick of the Day: La Planète à Roulettes (Plus a Free Women’s Outfit)

Today I am combining a Pick of the Day post (a look at a new Sansar experience) with an Outfit Outlay post (a look at a new free women’s outfit). Killing two birds with one stone! I might do this more often from now on.

La Planète à Roulettes (French for “The Wheeled Planet”) is a brand-new Sansar experience by EricNum. It’s a small castle perched on a giant golden ball, set in the middle of a calm sea, with the sound of seagulls off in the distance. It’s very peaceful.

The castle is decorated with many pictures of futuristic scenarios for space exploration.

A welcome video directs you to a companion website, Planete-A-Roulettes.net, which is the home page of Olivier Boisard.

The website contains lots of information and videos of Olivier’s various projects (all in French). It would appear that he has a deep interest in space exploration!

Back at his experience, there’s a large set of golden gears located in front of the castle, running a large clock:

Our experience explorer, Vanity Fair, is wearing two free items of clothing from the Sansar Store:

Adventures in Virtual Fashion Design: Creating a Patchwork Dress with Hanging Panels

Today I learned how to do M:N Segment Sewing in Marvelous Designer. (M:N Segment Sewing means that you can sew M (1 or more) edges to N (1 or more) edges in your pattern, and MD takes care of all the calculations for you.) I used this very useful tool to add hanging panels all around the hem of this crazy purple patchwork dress I created! I don’t think I’m going to sell too many of these, but I will put it up for free in the Sansar Store.

Pick of the Day: Happy Holidays!

This night-time winter experience was created by Boden Linden, who says:

This winter cabin is ready for the holidays!. ps this entire experience was created with items from the Sansar Store. Thank you creators 😀

It’s so dark that I had to edit all these pictures in GIMP to get the detail to show up! You’ll have to visit the experience in person to get a true feel for the darkness of a wintry countryside at night. The audio materials for the snow add to the immersion of the experience considerably.

You walk from a forested pine area past trees decorated with Christmas lights, and a couple of vehicles—a farm truck and a carriage—that you recognize from the Sansar Customs experience. Snowflakes are gently falling.

A little further on, you discover a top-hatted snowman under a canopy of Christmas lights flashing many different colours!

Finally, you arrive at a cheerfully decorated house, with a brightly-lit Christmas tree and pine bough garlands, plus stockings hung on the fireplace mantel. There’s a fire roaring in a small pot-bellied stove in the corner, next to a table laden with coffee cups, a bottle of wine, and a basket of food. Nostalgic Christmas music is playing, and it would seem the inhabitants of this cozy home have only just momentarily stepped out.

You could consider this experience a Christmas card from Boden Linden to the rest of us. So please pay a visit soon to Happy Holidays yourself!

(The red dress that Vanity Fair is wearing is brand new from RSVF, and available for S$5 in the Sansar Store.)
