Heads up on a Sinespace event taking place this evening, Sunday April 18th, 2021 in the virtual world of Sinespace: a Formal Royal Music Event starting at 8:00 p.m. EST/7:00 p.m. CST/5:00 p.m. PST.
The Community Virtual Library in Second Life is throwing a party to celebrate its fifteenth anniversary, and as part of the celebration, they are unveiling a new library building!
Community Virtual Library is celebrating 15 years in the virtual world of Second Life, sharing resources as a “real library in a virtual world”. Librarians are exploring virtual environments both on desktop and in VR headset worlds as we expand library services beyond our physical walls. Come join us to share our memories of the past and exciting plans for the future.

I paid an early morning visit to take the following photographs to share with you. Located just outside the main entrance is a “walk of fame” with the names of those library workers who played an noteworthy role in the provision of library service in Second Life over the past 15 years:

Clicking on any of the books brings up a menu to take you to the electronic full-text of that book (usually served via Project Gutenberg or OpenLibrary.org):

First, I have decided to suspend the “indefinite hiatus” business, effective immediately. I’ve noticed that I have been writing up and posting at least one blogpost a day lately, which is a sign that I’m feeling less depressed.
One thing that I have learned during my “indefinite hiatus” is that pretty much NOTHING can stop me from blogging about Second Life! So you can expect my coverage to continue, even as I continue to write more about other social VR platforms and virtual worlds.
Remember that I have replaced almost all of my blogging about Second Life freebies and bargains with notices posted to the new in-world RyanSchultz.com Steals, Deals & Freebies group! More information on this brand new SL group here. (Just do a keyword search for “ryanschultz”—all one word—under Groups and you’ll find my new group easily. It costs only L$50 to join, which means that I can now call myself a professional freebie fashionista! 😉 )
Moving forward, I will be focusing on two categories of worlds on my blog:
Those that pay me for sponsored advertising (e.g. Sinespace) will get highest priority; in such cases I will always include a standard disclaimer at the bottom of the blogpost that it is sponsored, and by whom (my advertising rates are here); and
I will also be writing more often about those platforms that intrigue and excite me. For example, I have just spent a week learning how to create content in NeosVR, and I can’t wait to show you everything I have learned!

There are 2 options for buying the head. If you’re an existing LOGO head owner who already had the HUDs (customization and animation HUDs) you can purchase just the head and skins for L$300. If you’re a new customer and want to be able to use appliers and animations you can buy the bundle which includes the L$999 HUDs pack for L$1,295.
And the good new is: if you picked up the free Chase and/or Chelsea heads last October, you already have the HUDs!There’s no need to spring for the full bundle! And even if you do have to buy the HUDs, you do not need to rebuy them for any subsequent heads you buy from LOGO.
Here’s what the LOGO Jace male head looks like, right out of the box, paired with the dollarbie Classic mesh body the Meshbody/The Mesh Project. I used the default brow shape and head/body shape, with zero changes to the body sliders, and I used one of the five Bakes on Mesh skins included in the package (this is the Blaze skin tone), Isn’t he handsome?

I picked up a free hairstyle and some free clothing from Fitch’s excellent menswear freebie store (more info here), fiddled with a few of the head and body sliders, and this is my final result! I am quite pleased with this look, and with the rugged masculine features of the LOGO Jace head.
